| From what I can see from the pics and your description, what you have is some Chech 9mm SMG ammo. I could be wrong, but it seems at 1 time over the past 20 yrs or so when I was collecting ammo I had some of these. This is like a +p+ round, and I think they might be steel cored, like the German 9mm stuff from WW2. I could be wrong, but I might be right too!! 8 ^ )) |
| It's packed just like my Czech 7.62x25mm, right down to the stripper clips (the one I have in front of me is dated 51 instead of 50 like the ones in your picture). The Czechs are known for making excellent arms and ammo. Don't know how well your Glock would do with +P+ ammo, though. |

I wouldn't risk shooting it |

It is bound to be Czech, 1950 production 9mm Parabellum. Probably intended for one of the Czech subguns, and probably loaded hot.
I would save it. Maybe pull the bullets on some to see if they are steel core. The WWII German steel-core 9mm bullets that I have weighed were about 92gr IIRC. The Czech steel-core should be more or less a direct copy of it. They aren't likely to be extremely collectible, but would be worth more as a collectors item than they are as shooting fodder. Paticularly with new production 9mm being relatively cheap at the moment. Plus, it is a pretty safe bet that they have corrosive primers. Edit- Here is a link to a place selling some Czech ammo that sounds very close to what you have. http://www.ammo-one.com/9mmLugerPage6.html -Allen |

"it is a pretty safe bet that they have corrosive primers"
Yep, corrosive as hell. Ate the rifling out a friend's Sten overnight when he failed to clean it. Do as others suggest & sell it to a collector. There was tons of this stuff around up to the '70s, not so much now. |
| Guys, thanks for all the replies. I'll just hang on to it or sell it. I was just going to shoot some for the novelty of it, but ya'lls better judgment has talked me out of it. It's neat to know what I've got though. I tried google, but couldn't come up with much. As usual, Arfcom knows all. |
