Should I still buy them if there aluminum? At that price, I would hold off and look for Blazer Brass instead (even my WalMart has that still on the racks - this post reminds me that I need to go pick some up Of course, if that is the only source you can get ammo from and you really need it, go ahead and grab it. |

I've shot Blazer aluminum cased ammo in 9mm, .357 Sig, .357 Magnum, 10mm, .44 Special, .45 ACP, and .45 Colt. I've never had a problem with any of it. It is not reloadable, so you can't reuse the cases, but you can reuse the boxes and trays, which I have been known to do.
Don't think I'd pay $13/50 for their aluminum .40 S&W ammo, especially since I've seen .40 S$W Blazer Brass (reloadable brass cased ammo made by the same folks) at Walmart for $12/50. |

I like the Al ammo, cheaper and lighter :) Nice when you're humping a couple of cases to the range... Not sure why so many folks reference reloadability. There's a lot fewer folks reload their ammo than you might think. The aluminum stuff is lower power. It doesn't cycle many guns very well. A lot more people reload now than what you think. |
| I bought the last three boxes of blazer brass in .40 at my local walmart for $12.47 per box of 50. A pretty good deal, I wish that they had more. I have shot this ammo quite a lot and also have shot thousands of rounds of the aluminum cased stuff through a mixture of Glocks mostly with no problems. I would buy it if you can get it. |
