so i went shooting yesterday and i shot 40 rounds of wolf  through my ar. I then went on to shoot some remington umc brass. When i picked up the brass casing to take home i noticed some of them had a good bit of black residue on the outside of the casing. Is this from shooting the steel cased wolf before? Let me know what you guys think and if this is normal or not.
Thanks!

Good Day,
Stephen

Always shoot your brass cased ammo first, then your steel cased.

Brass casings expand when fired filling the chamber keeping it clean while steel cases do not expand allowing more powder into the chamber. When you shoot brass after steel, the expansion of the brass plus the additional powder the steel case allowed in can cause the case to get stuck in the chamber and you can get jams
