I was given PMC ammo purchased in 81. Any reason to be concerned about mis-fire?

It should be fine. Ammo will last 40 years or longer if stored fairly well. If moisture is kept away from it you should have no problems.

I've got 8mm that was made before my dad was born. It still shoots fine. It has more to do with how it was stored then the date it was made.

Dont store your ammo in a hot garage, like some people I know.  Ammo should be stored in a cool dry place.

...long as it has been stored "reasonably well," it's good to go.

I shot some 1941 .30/06 at the range.

An old-timer came up with his '03 Springfield and offered me ancient .30/06. It all went KB! Headstamped: 1918. Wow! who know where the heck that stuff laid. It all shot fine. Brass split, of course, after firing. real brittle.

1981––a "young pup!

NO PROBLEMO!
