Will this shoot in a standard AR or is made for military only?

It will be fine in a "standard" AR - it's commercially available.

Providing that your AR is chambered for 5.56, and not just .223, yes.

You can shoot .223 in a 5.56 chambered rifle, but not vice versa.

The X in front of the M193 means it's not for military use.
