Subject: Happy Holidays
From: LTD AMMO SALES <[email protected]>

We just wanted to let everyone know that we will be closed and not excepting
orders until January 02, 2009 for the Christmas and New Year Holidays.
Also, we need to do a little bit of site maintenance and updates.  Check and
money orders may still be mailed after completing checkout process and
checking the appropriate box.  P.O's can still be processed as normal.
Thank your for your business and,
Happy Holidays,
Tom

Looks like the site is down for maintenance while he is on vacation, which makes sense.  I think he sold out of everything he had and decided it was a good opportunity to take a few days to get some sleep :)

I was lucky to get my order in just before they stocked out of the 193 and it arrived today so I got some fun for the weekend.  Good service and quick shipping from LTD.

if he decided to empty the warehouse and take a break, good for him and his crew––plus that would mean my stuff will get here soon.  i would rather someone shut down under such circumstances than be in sg or cabelas purgatory.

I bet he needs a break, he got slammed with orders this past week. My ammo from him will be here today.

He sent 1k 308 Monday. I got them Saturday. Fed Ex. very fast and this is a long ways off!!! A bit pricey, 40 bucks, but still, very quick. Looking forward to future biz.

Got my Q3130 (762x51) on Tuesday....the price is amazing, stuff is brand new, perfect boxes.  I should have bought more.  Anyone know if they are coming back online anytime soon with more ammo?

My Q3130 had some slightly crushed corners on the bottom boxes, but the ammo inside was just fine.

I keep getting a "buffer overflow" warning from my McAfee security program when I go to their website.  It didn't use to do that on their site.  Is anyone else having problems or is it just something on my computer that would cause that?

Avast keep giving me a 'Blocked Access to Malicious Site' error.  But the site seems to be loading fine.  Maybe there's a access counter or something that's coded wrong. <shrugs>

His site is infected.

It killed and hijacked my browser twice on the 19th (went back to verify it was his site) and it still suffers the same problem.

I would have said something sooner but I didn't hear anyone complaining about it until now.

I was wondering which of these sites was infecting my computer.  2nd time now, and I think you're right.  Its LTDAMMO.

Hijacks my browser and messes up my google search results.  Was a total pain to get rid of last time and now I am not sure I totally got rid of it for good...

Strange, must be something to do with your setup.

I hate to say it because of the great service, fast shipping and great prices from LTD but I have been infected twice. The first time I was able to clean it but the second time I have tried everything and my browser is still hijacked. Any ideas on fixing this? I have run spybot, ad aware, and Malware with no help.

So when you say hijacked, what is it sending to you? Zen Cart, something else?

Easiest way to fix it might be to restore your PC to a backup from a week or two ago.

I just went to his site.  No problems coming from his site or my machine.  I'm guessing the issue is your machine and not LTD website.

I agree that could be the problem. I have personally purchased > $20,000 of ammo from Tom (LTD Ammo) and will continue without hesitation. Best prices hands down.

I have ordered from Tom twice.  Great products and service.  But after my last order, I too was infected by something that also blew up my search engines.  I do not know for sure where I got it from, but I wonder now (thought it could have been from one of the sites that has pictures of lots of pretty girls!).  I was able to successfully kill it with free Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.  I'm not sure if you used this particular one, but if not it would be worth a shot.

I have ordered from Tom .. had no problems .. Just before he was down for the hloidays and maintenance i accessed his site and i noticed that my computer was acting strange , i had to shut down to be able to do anything .. Today Jan 2 2009 i have tried 3 times ..i am able to view the items for a few minuites , then my Hard drive starts working like crazy and again i have to shut down in order to get my computer working properly again .. I would have to say that there must be an issue with Tom's web site..

I am going to call Tom tommorow and let him know that there is something going on ..

I had to disinfect my computer with all known software, Adaware, Malware, S&D.... nothing worked... until I tried ComboFix.  That finally worked.

I love the prices and service of LTDAMMO, but won't go back until I hear something has been done to correct the issue.  I know my crappy Windows computer with IE7 is part of the problem... just can't afford to upgrade to a Mac at this point.

Still appreciate the prices and service of LTD though.

Well it looks like his site was definitely infected...Hopefully no one's credit cards were compromised and it was only a pesky browser hijack virus. I emailed Tom and he is aware of the issue. I agree that his operation is top notch but he might need better security measures.

Yea I had IE on one computer get a browser hijack, my normal computers that I use have Firefox with all the security goodies on it so I didn't have issues with them.

First of all, you guys need to be using Firefox for your web browser. Definitely much safer than IE7.

As for anybody who is infected, download, install, update and run AVG Anti-Virus FREE Version 8. It's a full version of the software available from the AVG website and I have yet to encounter anything that can get past it.

It should also be noted that there has been a rash of viruses on the net lately. I'm an IT guy and we got slammed hard here at work with Trojans, worms, and keyloggers.

AVG is loaded with too much crap. I just bought 400 rounds of that ammo from LTD ...My anti virus picked up something on the site and I clicked "deny access" and that was the end of that.

Hi everyone.  Yes my site did have a worm in it.  Sorry I was on the defensive side at first.  I could not reproduce on my machine.  The hosting company that I use, Ixwebhosting had their servers hacked.  I have spent all day cleaning out the bad scripts added to every php file.  The site is now clean.  No Credit card information was compromised since no credit card information is stored on the site.  All credit card entries are sent directly to authorize.net on check out which is 128 bit encrypted.  My ssl certificate is up to date.  I apologize for this.  If anyone has any problems with the site please email me right away at [email protected].  Once again I do apoligize for this.

Welcome to the site Tom!

Thanks for all the excellent ammo at great prices.

I tend to buy from folks that go for the high volume/lower prices business model.

Hence, you have been getting most of my ammo money.

So all problems with the site have been resolved, correct?

EDIT: Shipping seems kinda high.  $50 to ship a case of 45ACP and a case of 9mm.
