Hey I just purchased a dpms .308. What ammo do you guys use? Im looking to try and buy a case of 500, so I dont want to go COMPLETELY overboard with the price. Im looking for some well rounded ammo..like the xm-193 in 5.56....but for a .308...Sorry kind of new to this whole thing.

There is a HUGE rush on ammo going on right now. Since NoBama has won weapons and ammo is selling out like never before.

Check out Wideners or AIM, and I'd suggest PRVI...the Lithuanian is all gone. Seriously, it's selling like hotcakes. If you are serious about buying some, you better get it done like right now...at least if you're buying online.

Good luck!

I just checked AIM, they are out of the PRVI I was refering to.

This is what I'd suggest:

There are only 35 200rd packs of this left!

Ya I dont understand that. If everyone would just relax we would all be better off lol. There is no way in hell the first thing he attends to is gun/ammo control. Of course I didnt vote for him and in the future there may be another cosmetic ban on rifles. But really...we have a failing economy and 2 wars. Lol even if he is an idiot when it comes to his views on gun control, there is NO possible way he will be able to set aside the issues at hand to address something thats of no concern to the vast majority of the public. Its just not possible. And im not being optimistic..hes young and Im sure wants to serve a second term. Even if he was absolutley passionate about gun control and thats secretly the only reason why he wanted to be president he still would not have the possibility to address the issue as his focal concern. Sorry im not directing this toward you at all..guess i just went off on a tangent. Everyone has construde this to be some sort of sinister plot by him. Its like the difference between putting food on the table for your family or fixing your neighbors windshield wipers...its not going to be a concern until you have food on the table..I guarantee it...(even if he is osama ha)

It isn't the only good stuff but I shoot it regularly and my M1A loves it. It is a really good quality mil-surp that is recent manufacture, accurate and consistent. The brass is reloadable (boxer primed) if that matters to you. (It may matter to all of us soon if the messiah imposes an ammo tax)

I was told that when I was buying 9mm WWB at $9.99, $13.42, and $15.82.

I did not listen. I repeatedly did not listen as the guys at the local range told me it was cheaper at all times to their cost. Now, I see 50 rds at the range for $13.

I had someone hleping me move some Marine donations around in my garage the other night and my daughter's small fridge from college had to be moved. When he busted a nut trying to move it he asked what was in it. I told him to use the key and look. I think there's about 8000 rds of 9mm in it.

Walsh - glad I shopped early - now I'm buying components.

Why buy junk when you can reload.

Agreed, Ive yet to find any ammo off the shelf that performs as well as a hand loaded round that I know my rifle likes.

I shot nearyly 200 rounds finding the right bullet and powder combination to find a bullet that grouped tightly.

It clowns anything Ive bought off the shelf.
