Would Remington 55 grain Soft point (PSP) be a good Defensive round compared to 75 grain Wolf Gold or XM193?

Just wondering witch of the three to buy since I reload 55 grain and all my Rifles are 1:9 Twist.

Thanks guys.  This is not time crit or anything.

I have no data on the PSP. If you reload, might as well buy the Hornady 75gr OTMs. They shoot fine out of virtually everybody's 1:9.

Don't know about just how good they would be for defensive applications, but I use them whenever I can get them. The fact that they shoot 3/8" groups off the bench for me & my buddy's guns (AR bull Bbl's) makes them a win. Try 25g of H335 under them.

Remington PSP fragments down to 20-30gr retained mass with around 10-12" of penetration and expands to around .40-.50 IIRC depending on how the shards of the fragmented bullet are oriented and how you want to measure the slug.

This is based on Evan Marshall's gel shoots.
