i might be TOTALY wrong here...but i think with more twist it will stabilize heavier bullets better becuase it puts some more spin on it..., but thats not to say it wont work well with 55g either

again someone might come along and call me an ass...

i just know with m855 green tip and a shorter barrel 1in7 works better because it stabilzes the bullet more

LMT Defender 2000 M4 14.5 1/7 twist

45gr to 77gr

My M4 shoots its all

Black Hills Blue box  77gr Has been the most accurate SO FAR
Black Hills White Box 5.56mm 77gr  came in second
Black Hills Blue Box 75gr  came in 3rd ( I use this for protection) HAS A CANNACLURE

M193
M855
SS109
Win USA 45gr HP
I use at the range for practice!

If I could I would ONLY SHOOT 75gr OTM

77gr SMK is one accurate bullet

All the above.  I shoot mainly 55gr or 62gr wolf with very little noticable difference noticed by me.  Also shoot BHBB 75gr MHP and it just rocks.

Barrel length does not figure into bullet stability.
