IMI (Israel Military Industries) is great ammunition, it is sometimes  found
in brown boxes/30 on stripper clips. If you have found some IMI 5.56 at a
decent price, my advice would be to buy as much as you can afford. I keep
kicking myself for not buying more when this ammo was available....
Have no fear, top notch ammunition for sure...........

Buy all you can afford, whenever you can find it. Great ammo!

It's great ammunition but very comparable to Q3131.  I would compare current pricing for it and make a decision on that.  If it's cheaper than Q3131, buy all you can afford but it's not worth any premium to me whatsoever.

Factory IMI is very good ammunition. Just watch out for the factory IMI M855 "look-alike" packaging. These boxes have sometimes contained IMI M855 ammunition that show definite signs of being de linked/fielded/repackaged ammunition with mixed head stamp dates, corrosion, etc.. The "look-alike" box will initially appear just like a factory IMI box, but the IMI logo in the upper left corner will be missing along with other gotcha's.

I shot alot of their M855 round.  I still have about 2 K of this left.  I am not shooting it though.

I shot a whole lot of the Winchester Q3131a round.  This was made in Israel, by IMI.  Good stuff.

If Israel ever starts to import their M855 rounds again, I'll fill my garage with the stuff!
