| Non scientific. Sportsmansguide winchester dented M855 groups around 4" compared to the bosnian igman which is around 6". Gun used is S&W M&P15T, 4x scope, bags. Same combo, shooter yeilded 1.25" with match ammo (Remingotn match 69 gr). Next non scientifc test willl be Streichers current M855. |
My 2 LMT 14.5 M4 1/7 twist I zero with LC M855 at 50 yards BH 77gr has the same/Close Zero at 50yards to 220yards BERM shooting TIN Cans I think its because of the LONG BULLET. 77smk and SS109 bullet |
I hope to get some BH MK262 soon but at this point I have never shot BH 75/77 grain but even after shooting BH Red box 55gr FMJ I don't get into the milsurp much anymore. I do shoot some Federal XM193 maybe one box per outting. Seems I keep wanting to verify the groups my rifle gets with it.... Federal XM193, all groups with a RRA 20" AR at 100 yards...  Typica of Blackhills 55gr FMJ with 20" AR at 100 yards...  Fellow arfcommer's handloads, 55gr. Sierra Blitzking (wish I could get more of this ammo)...  I dunno about you guys but the LC M855 and Guat M193 I have provides 100 yard groups in the 3 inch or bigger range. Good'nuff for center of mass and plinking but not much fun for paper target groups. I bought my AR rifle new and now it has to have 7000 to 8000 rounds thru it including two (2) rounds of steel cased Wolf. |
You know, there was a time when shooting Black Hills came at a price premium...but i paid it anyway as every flavor they offered shot extremely accurate in my rifles. Now it is equall or LESS cost than many other brands/flavors and has become the bargain...standard...for me. Even the 60 rain SP's and 60 gr V-Max's are great Mark |
