Local dealer has about 500 rds on strippers I was going to get but hoped you all could ID it before I bought it.
5.56 ammo
Reads"RORG" 92 with NATO cross.  No paint on the bullet.  Neck of the case has that discoloration like Q3131A
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.  So would 1992 be 62 or 55 grain?  No paint on bullets.  I assume with the current ammo situation $150.00 for the 500 rds would be a good deal?

FWIW 30 cents each sounds kinda high for FIFTEEN YEAR OLD ammo.

British Surplus-Radway Green. It is 62gr "penetrator" ammo, I bought it when Midway had it for $140 per 740. Mine do not have the painted tips either. Its been awhile since i have looked at mine, but I believe they use purple sealant on the primers and bullets. Some people have complained about problems. My brother and I have been through alot of this ammo in RRA carbines and have not experienced a single problem. By todays prices that is as good of a deal that you will find.

Yet people will pay $1000 for a 15 year old bottle of wine.......

Ask yourself..is it in your budget?
