Will 45gr work in a 1 in 9 or is it bad?

Should work fine, my uncle's Savage bolt action rifle has a 1-9 twist and he hammers prairie dogs out past 250 yds with the Winchester White Box 45-gr HP's.

Yes, I have fired quite a few 45grn winchester HP rounds through my Bushmasters and Wilson Combat, all 1/9 twist barrels. It will be fine.

I have a Bushmaster Varminter that absolutely loves the Winchester White Box 45 grain JHP It is a 1 in 9 twist, and the nice thing too is it shoots the same point of impact as my favorite 55 grain Ballistic Tip load from Ga. Arms (at 100 yards). I have not seen any of this ammo on the shelf in over a year now, Academy & Megalo Mart use to both keep it. I noticed Cabela's doesn't even list it in their catalog, but still lists the .22-250 white box.
