Are there any adverse effects of taking all my ammo out of the cardboard boxes and putting them loose in the ammo cans?

Right now I have all the ammo still in the original cardboard boxes that they are in (20 rounds each box) and then the boxes themselves in the ammo cans with desiccant.

So I am thinking of taking them and putting them loose in the ammo cans to free up some storage space. Are there any problems with this? Metal to metal cause any issues?

Thanks

No problems with this.

All of my ammo is stored loose (or on stripper clips) in USGI ammo cans with dessicant.

Been this way for years with no adverse effects.

It does save a lot of space.

Great, thanks for the quick response, this will make LOTS of space to fill up more ammos cans
