How do you forget something like that?

My Father in law owned a small town hardware store. He had a FFL and the was the only place to buy guns or ammo in the whole county. After he passed the store was sold.

The guy that purchased the store did not get a FFL so much of the gun stuff was sold at auction.When I married my wife she had stuff that either did not sale or the family wanted to keep.

I have a old shot gun that was purchased by the Bank that was located across the street from the store. The bank purchased shotguns for all of the merchants near them to be used in case of a bank robbery.

You will not find that in todays world.
