Sorry still learning.  What is the "PD" designation?

Read the Oracle.

Used to mean last resort.  These days, though, it means best your gonna get.

Everybody has an opinion, but it's the lowest grade of military production ammo sold to us slimey civilians.  It has failed production or testing quality control at some point, and rejected by the mil.  If you buy it, just make sure to inspect every round before you shoot it.  The last time I bought PD, it all went into the polisher, inspected,  then back into the packaging.

Thanks.  I did read the Oracle.  It doesn’t cover PD.

I usually don't laugh out loud reading posts, but those are great responses.

Seriously though, what is wrong with the #2's

Is there such a thing as XM193PD?  I've seen XM855PD but never XM193PD.

no one here knows for sure what PD means other than it comes boxed loose not in individual 20rd boxes like regular XM193

The second round marked #2 has a 55 gr. M193 projectile in it.

The PD is a coding that came out of the Old Fankford Arsenal, it stands for "Pratice Ammo" nothing more, nothing less

I never noticed that--good call.  I am a little surprised at that round though it woud not be a problem shooter..  I was looking for cracks like #3.
