I was faced with the same problem. I got the Radway. It comes with killer bandos and stripper clips but no spoons. It came out to .20/rd including shipping, every 5 blasts is a buck, but it is fun blastin. The strippers helped alot by speeding up the mag loading process which equals more shooting. Accuracy is about average out of my AR. I shoot alot standing unsupported with quick target aquisiton with the M68 and moving so for me MOA don't count. I like to practice from about 30 meters all the way to the target. I raise the rifle, target, fire two or three rounds as fast and accurate as posible, lower rifle then move two steps closer, repeat until the mag runs empty. Heres how it looks, I'm very pleased in my infant ammo whoriness  Notice some are not anealed, likley cause for their being surplused  720 rounds marching, they would not hold still for the picture.  a nicely packed ammo can, FYI: I packed a spoon in each bandoleer.  |

If you are just going to plink - and you gun runs on Wolf just fine... why on earth would you pick anything else? Always, always, buy the cheapest possible ammo that meets your needs. If you dont need terminal ballistics, and it's reliable.... and you dont care about reloadable brass, etc... I would always go with what is cheast for me in the long run. |
13 dead by me by M855, successful fragging in all of them. Plenty by others as well. Ammo used from several lots (unless I was magically issued the same lot of ammo repeatedly throughout 2002, 2004, and 2006). Performance of Mk262 was superior, but M855 didn't have any problems. Anyway, it seems to me that the burden of proof would be on those perpetuating the myth. I don't deny that 193 probably has a slight edge in fragmentation, but that "zipping right through" bullshit is just that, bullshit. |
Same here...I've seen alot of Johnyy Jihads dead via M855. Plenty of fragmenting going on. I've seen one entry wound with 2-3 exit wounds. Major |
