Tried doing a search, no luck. The XM193 that you buy on the shelf that comes in The plain 20rd box from Federal, what grade is this considered ? I know anything that Comes in bulk or loose packed is mainly grade 3, I'talking about the stuff like is bought from Outdoor Marksmen Warehouse, Also where can information be found out About the lot number, i.e. Which lot's to stay away from or the best lot's. |
The Lot-138, That's what I'm trying find info on, good, bad, I opened one box and Has a head stamp of 06, just wondering if there is a way to do any research by Lot Numbers. By the way, where I bought this stuff did a screw up in my behalf, it had No prices on them, so they sold it to me for what the ADCO was beside it, $3.99 A box. Of course took all they had. |

They have a few cases at my girlfriend's work (not unusual, since she works at a gun shop). They'll only sell 500 rounds at a time, or I probably would have cleaned them out by now. I bought two boxes of the stuff for a competition last weekend. Unlike the two kinds of foreign milsurp I have tried so far, the XM193 worked in my rifle. Every time. The only thing I didn't like about the XM193: it looked like hell. The cases were filthy, with lots of small dents and scratches. I wouldn't reload the brass, but function was 100%, and that's what counts. |
THATS what MOST all LAKE CITY looks like My IMI stash is the same also |
as stated that what every round of XM193 has looked like since I have been buying it and I'm sure well beyond that. It is excellent brass for reloading as long as you don't mind dealing with crimped primers, also just throw it in a tumbler and it will come out looking brand new |
My older M-193 does not look like the shit they put out now, their are very VERY few dings or dents in it. The damage noweadys is because the loading machines are sped up as fast as they probably can run, and damage is caused by the machines themselves. Not really impressed with the new stuff tho most all ding and dents will be blown out upon firing and they will reload fine. |
