I don't reload yet, but plan on it in the future.  I thought If the price was right I would get some of these while they are available.

So, question for you reloaders out there:  Is this a good price on these bullets?

thanks

Yeah, but the bullets on the web siite "GI brass" are PULLED from demiled ammo!!
Widener's M855 are brand new, never loaded. But, they don't have a green tip
painted on them because they told me that the tip is painted AFTER they are loaded into ammo.

I would give the IMI a try if you got the coin.  I loaded their 55 gr stuff in the past back when they had them.  I just bought 4K of their Russian 55 gr projectiles, and recently ordered some 762x39 projectiles, 45acp projectiles, primers, SA .308 surplus, so I'm tapped out for now

The price for the IMI bullets is 59 USD for 1000pcs
I would buy the IMI instead of pulled US bullets depending
of what you are going to use them for, If just punching paper
there is no big difference but if you are going to use in some kind
of defence situations then take the IMI.
U.S SS109 bullets have crappy steel cores made of some cheap
stamped steel, I compared the U.S SS109 cores with Swedish SS109
cores and the swedish cores is harder and that is also the truth with IMI cores.
I just punch paper with my SS109 so i dont care so much about it.....
I have access to advanced material testing equipment so if anyone
want actual numbers i maybe can provide with that.
