| Just picked some up did a search with nothing real found on any results...Anyone ever shoot any of this,is it dirty ect.... |
Which ammo are you referring to? If you are referring to the 223-1R (55Gr FMJ), several people here have and still use it and like it. |

HSM 223-R1 is similar to Federal's American Eagle and Remington's UMC in 55-gr. FMJ, both in velocity and accuracy. This 223 load uses the M193 Lake City bullet from Federal and is accurate range ammo that's on special for only $165 per 1,000. LE, military, and numerous Federal Agencies use this exact plinking load for training purposes. The "R" in 223-R1 stands for "range ammo" and this load can be purchased in new or once fired brass. HSM can ship the 1,000 rounds in 50 round boxes (20 per case of 1,000) or loose in a free 50 cal. sealed ammo can. Both options are the same price at $165. www.TheHuntingShack.com |
| Hello guys, and gals. This is Darren with HSM. I want to thank all of you for working with us on developing this new Tactical load. We are now shipping again on the (5.56-17T) at 2850 FPS. and on the (223-17T) at 2675FPS. Both loads perform great with the lower velocity 223 load being alittle more accurate but you are giving up around 175 fps. It looks like the 5.56 load is going to be the ticket for all of the Tactical shooters. We have talked to Hornady about the depth of the canular on the bullet and when they run this bullet again the canular will be just a touch lighter as they are changing the depth even on their bullets as well. This should help the accuracy on the 5.56 load with out losing any of the internal performace of the bullet. The change will not happen until 1st of October though so we will continue with the bullets we have for now. Also anyone that wants to try our Match ammo please order it and campare to any other brand out there, I think it will amaze you at best. All oders that have been place will be shipped at the old price but new oders will be at $350.00 per thousand rounds as the brass and bullets have gone up in price. Also for all of you I am offering our 223-55gr. fmj range ammo for $171.00 per 1000rnds(223-1R), compare this to the cost of other brands and the availability of others and this is the best deal out there. Thanks again and I look forward to along relationship with the members of AR-15.com. Darren HSM Manager |
