Is this the stuff for ammo cans?

I also bought a pack of tea bags, which should work fine.... assuming I got the right litter.

It says the product contains silica.  But who knows what else is in it.

I use Tidy Cat with crystals. Same thing though. Seems to work fine.

This is a new one on me. What's it supposed to do. Keep your ammo fresh smelling?

No, seriously, what's it for?

Crystal kitty litter is just silica gel and you can use it as a desiccant pack for your ammo cans. I use coffee filters with double sided tape to make my own packs.

I like Tyvex envelopes fm UPS/USPS Priority Mail, etc. They are porous and don't tear or rip easily...plus they are free at the local post office!

Just be sure to get the litter without the "fresh step" or whatever.  You want the one that is just a bunch of clear "beads" wihtout any of the colored beads.

Knowing my luck I'd be loading mags one day and my wifes cat would come in and take a shit in my ammo box

Porous?  Not if its the same Tyvek used as vapor-barrier Home Wrap, or their HazMat Apparel

Porous?  Yes, if it's the same Tyvek used as vapor-barrier.

ETA: From your link:

DuPont™ Tyvek® HomeWrap® is a non-woven, nonperforated sheet made by spinning extremely fine continuous high-density polyethylene (HDPE) fibers that are fused together to form a strong uniform web. DuPont™ Tyvek® is a unique brand and the only product manufactured this way. This tough, durable and unique structure is not susceptible to the compromises of a perforated material. The fibrous structure is engineered to create millions of extremely small pores that resist bulk water and air penetration while allowing moisture vapor to pass through. DuPont™ Tyvek® HomeWrap® achieves the ultimate balance of weather resistance and vapor permeability.

Seems like he would be alright with Tyvek to me.

I'd use paper coffee filters with some of the stuff (just the clear beads or crystals) in them and then folded and stapled.  Guaranteed to pass moisture, filled with cheap dessicant, and with a built in moisture indicator (the staples).  How can you go wrong?

Double layer of ladies nylon hosiery (smartass comments anticipated) with a small plastic tie wrap at each end. Works great.

I make a bunch of little sachels with pantyhose, and throw one into each of my ammo cans.  It's so humid here in Hawaii that mold grows on glass.  I also leave one lite bulb burning in my gun closet which also helps zap the moisture out.
