First off I gotta say, the new site is cool. Way to go guys! Here
Now me and the first guy just sat back and watched the other four fellows discuss this on their own. It was quite entertaing to see and observe. No one got verbally abusive violent or out of hand. It was just quite humorous on the abilities of human beings not being able to agree on something. Me and the other guy just quietly walked away and left them to it. We went down range and each shot a 30 round clip @ 100 yards, cleared each other's weapons and looked down there were the other guys were,,,,they were still at it. We finally left. I don't know who won that round.

If your a reloader Grains would be correct in all three cases.

I measure my powder in grains, my bullets are measured in grains and as quality control I measure some of the loaded cartridges in Grains to ensure consistency.

On a box of comercial ammo Grains refer to the bullet weight.
