Can anyone tell me if the ADCOM .223 is any good? Found a good price for it and am considering picking some up. Thanks, Mark |
| I Wisht AIM still carried it. I ordered literally the same day hours before it was taken off of the Website. hey |
I just got some at surpulsammo.com. It was around $320 for 2K $380 to my door. Shipping was a bit high because a live completely across the country. It was all 99 HS. |

Sorry for not getting back sooner guys, but here's the link to the ADCOM ammo: ADCOM Ammo |
What is this residue they speak of? |
+1 I would order some but I need a range report! |
Thanks Rockdoc, forgive the senior moment. I looked at the box and it's blank after LOT. Forgot about the flap. I will find out about the suspect ammo tomorrow, I hope. Lot #s are sure going to help. |
Perhaps they used a powder that was found to be too dirty and they started using a cleaner powder and ditched the lots manufactured with the bad powder. My prediction is that it is as dirty as Wolf steel cased ammunition. Cleaning isn't the worst thing in the world. |
I wouldn't mind if that's the only problem. |
What about this statement of Century Arms "Useable ammo but can leave residue which may hamper function of firearm." Is this defective ammo and will you be offering the same lot? I purchased 2,000 rounds from you guys in April at $340. CAI is selling it for $287. Is this inferior to what you had or will have? Why the big price difference? |

Just sent a email to CIA Inc and asked the questions we all want the answer too. Also sent this one to ADCOM. If I don't hear from them in a couple of days I will give the both a call. Hey, what's free international calling for. -----Original Message----- From: Michael XXXXXXX[mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, June 26, 2006 11:51 AM To: [email protected] Cc: me Subject: ADCOM 5.56 Ammunition ? I have been using ADCOM 5.56 Cal 62 grain ammunition for some time now. I have always had good experiences with your products and have a large stock of your ammunition. I saw this advertisement and was wondering just what residue this retailer is speaking of? I will add the advertisement and link to the website. I would also request that if this is grade II ammunition would you please inform me of the lot numbers and head stamp date of this product. http://www.centuryarms.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22&products_id=1396 Thank you, Michael XXXXXXX 1X XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXx R. If.... If... we get more of this ammo it will not be the above ammo. We would only be interested in offering the later dated reliable stuff. I only know what I read here... the 99 seemed to have problems. I know when Bryan and I were shooting it (99) we had some loose primer issues. The other years were great. |
| I orderd 2k of the 99 stuff from surplusammo. Shot 250 rounds of it this past sunday over at pima pistol range in Tucson. I did have some popped out primers and some short stroking because of the primers. Otherwise the brass was clean and it was very accurate at 75 yards. I put 90 rounds on 1 target at 75 yards and never once was out of the 10 ring thru my carbine & Eotech site. |
| Well AIM get more of this stuff and it will sell. I just loaded up some mags tonight (04 production) and found 1 round with a dented case. Ive gone thorugh several hundred and this is the 1st one Ive seen with any problems. At the same price Id buy a couple more cases. |
Man, how many popped primers out of 250 rounds? I would be pissed about 1 nevermind some. |
2-3. It was a pain in the ass. I will use it all as fun day ammo. Definitly not SHTF ammo. |
I hear ya |
