[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Ammo Storage

I want to store ammo in the garage. Anyone know of a good lockable case or rack system. I use 50 cal cans for different ones. Would like to see pics of others solutions. I need security and functionality.hug.gif

It's just me, but my .50 cal cans are heavy as all get out.

That being so, I don't need any elaborate rack system. I do like "book racks" at college.

Just some clean cinder blocks and I stretch some 2 x 8 across them, and pile them on.

Big issue: keep the metal cans off the floor re: moisture/condensations, etc.

Heat can ruin ammo, so remember that if your garage gets hot.

The cinder block/ wood rack system is one of the best that I know of. You can run steel cable through the blocks and cans to lock them all up.

That's the way we do it at my house. Can't beat simplicity.
