Do you mean PMC instead of PMP?

It is my understanding that the headstamp "PMP" relates to the Pretoria Metal Pressings Ltd., Pretoria, Republic of South Africa. And as far as I know some SA ammo is getting harder to find, depending upon the size you looking for.

IIRC I read somewhere the PMC has been awarded a contract to mauufacture ammo for the U.S. military, which will take ALL of their effort/resources for the next year or so.

PMP is most certainly still in business, but their ammo has been hard to find in over a year now. It used to run about $144/K a couple of years ago.

Denel owns PMP.

I still have some of the AMMO that had trickled bright and shiny kinda brand new- It had name tied to Denel instead of PMP- much newer production than the SA battle packs which I think was still made by denel (maybe-being military type).  PMP brand name of AMMO in USA was tied to the commercial version that came in- loaded much lighter like the version that make for PMC.

It was suppose to have some flash retardant in them also.  Shot up half of that stuff before saving it.  Who knew that more would not be allowed to come in ?

Then again - I would have bought many more IMI from cole distribution at that time!

Century Arms was the importer. They are not importing ammo from the Balkins.
