I thought the 75/77 was 2,100fps, while the 68/69 stuff was 2300fps? The 75/77 grain stuff gives you frag range out to 260ish yards, while the 68/69's are around 230ish yards. Assuming max velocity.

colt 16inch barrel plus PHANTOM 1/7 twist?
Is this a 14.5 w/Phantom to make total 16 inch? Or just a 16 inch barrel plus Phantom? Reson I ask is I find it odd to add the Phantom on a already long 16 barrel? But its is a GREAT Flash Hider Anyway? |

Nice entrance, Danno.  PS I don't spend much time in the ammo forum, or much time contemplating ammunition choices other than price, try to stick to 62gr stuff, and stay clear of junk But lately I have found myself interested in shooting the better rounds like the TAP, BH 75 or 77gr offerings. Not your everyday paper-punchers, though. So to recycle these topics is appreciated. |

.223 75 gr. tap out of my 14.5 1x9 Bushmaster averages about 2470 fps chrono 15 ft. from muzzle.
