My FFL friend hasn't be able to order PMC ammo. They stocked it for cheap plinking ammo, but went to order it last month and couldn't get any, they where sold out and not getting anymore in. He has heared that PMC is going out of business. I like there Starfire ammo, but don't want to buy it and not be able to get it anymore.

Anyone know what is going on with them?

I don't know about PMC but their plinking .45 acp TMP ammo was the worst crap I have ever shot in my life. Totally out of spec. They are off my ever buy again list.

However, I still see it for sale [red/white box] all over.

I sent email to the contact address on their web page. Here's what I got:

I'm trying to find a case or 2 of PMC .223 ammunition.
I've called every dealer near me (Southeast Michigan)
and haven't had any luck. What's going on? I can't
even find any online dealers of this stuff. Any info
and/or distributors would be appreciated.

Our supplier of .223 & 5.56 ammunition has taken on a U.S. gov't
contract for these rounds and we have not been able to get any for 9
mo.
Further, we will not be able to get any more for about another year.

It is one of the few areas where the public actually can feel the
effects of the war.

Sorry, for the news and if you can find a reasonable source for .223
you
should buy a few cases for your self as the demand for this round is
going to start dying up even more.  The good news is that when the war
actually winds down sometime in the future we should have a surplus.
Best Regards,
