I just packed 2 20mm cans with XM-193. The way it fit was nice 2 full 500 round boxes and 33 small boxes for a total of 1660 rounds in each can. Any idea if left alone in a cool dark room what the shelf life will be?

Lucky you, I wish the XM193 is as abundent as they used to be.

Consider these are mil spec ammo, if they are properly sealed (some lots arent, you might want to pull a couple bullets to find out), you should be able to store your ammo in the condition you described for a couple decades without problem. Consider that I just picked up some cans of FN .308 that's as old as I am (1977 vintage), and they still shoot great, your ammo should be fine.

I have shot 8mm mauser ammo that was made in 1943 with no ill effects.................all depends on how it was stored!
