Another newbie question. Does the color of the primer sealer carry any significance in identifying the cartridge?

Nope! Not to my dumb ole eyes.
You got the standard "red," but green is common.
I have also seen purple.

It'll be of some value when trying to determine the origin of "WCC" brass...
Q3131 - red paint, USA loaded
Q3131A - purple/lavender paint, loaded at IMI plant
