PMP is good ammo, but you are on the wrong page, see this page for PMP ammo:

Anyone have any idea how reliable it is?  I can get it real cheap and may use it for a patrol carbine school.  I don't want to get it if it's going to act like wolf or silver bear.  What manufactures might it be compared to.

Make sure you aren't confusing Ultramax with PMP, Ultramax is reloaded ammo, the PMP is new ammo and it clearly says PMP on the boxes, apparently Ultramax is importing PMP, it is unlikely that PMP would be cheap.

Note the difference in the structure of the product numbers:
Ultramax reloads numbers example 223R2
PMP product numbers example AM088

I am able to purchase at wholesale price.  Here is the information on the specific ammo:

Manufacturer ULTRAMAX AMMUNITION
Man. Number AM087
Title PMP AMMO 223REM 55GR SP
Description PMP AM087 223 REM 55 GRAIN SOFT POINT CENTERFIRE RIFLE AMMO 20 RNDS PER BOX 25 BXS PER CASE
Quantity Price $4.20 @ 25

So with that man. # it is PMP?  I am guessing that from thier website that the difference between AM088 and AM087 is 88 is FMJ and 87 is SP.  Anyway if I buy a couple cases of this stuff  should I have to worry about ammo related problem at the range?  If it's good stuff I may buy more to supplement my duty ammo since it's SP.  Is it comparable to Federal American Eagle, or the XM193?
Thanks for the info so far.

You're good to go, that's the PMP 55 gr soft point, according to the chart the velocity is 3215 fps, but they don't list what barrel length gave that velocity.  It should be a soft point comparable to M193, the velocities are comparable, and PMP quality is good, you shouldn't have any problems.  That's a pretty good price too!

PMP Military 55 gr military ball 3231 fps
PMP Sporting 55 gr soft point 3215 fps

Thanks for your help wingman.  I'm gonna order a few K.  I've heard so many horror stories about guys having problems at rifle schools because of bad ammo.  Since I'm putting myself through the class with no help from the dept I have to buy my own ammo and didn't want any probs.  Would you have any problem using it for real world?  Since it's SP I can supplement my duty ammo with it.

PMP has an extremely good reputation, it should prove itself in your upcoming training.

Check PMP in the Ammunition Review and Reference, it's listed #8 on the list.
