I am curious, what is the cheapest reload you have ever figured?  I have found that the average nonComBloc ammo (ie. black hills, ultramax, American Eagle) costs approximetely $.20 per/round.
The cheapest reload I can tabulate will cost roughly $.19 and is as follows:

case: lake city                             $.05 per case
Bullet: Winchester Bult FMJ           $.04 per bullet
Powder (H335)                            $.07 per charge
primer: CCI400                           $.01 per primer

TOTAL                                       $.18 per round

Don't misconstrue the above data as me being an extreme cheapskate, I just have too much time on my hands. I think i can save the $.05 per case by going to local ranges and picking up brass to bring down the total to $.14.

Do any of you reloaders in here have an even cheaper recipie?

Not to mention that the brass can be used a few times over...

find all usable brass at the range + Make wife pay for powder/bullets/primer =$0.00=FREE
the only thing that's going to cost you is the time to reload and the time of all house hold chores

Where can I get Black Hills for 20 cents per round?

I usually reload rifle .223 for the best precision rather than the best cost.
Pistol ammo OTOH is another story.

Exactly.  I reload for accuracy rather than bulk, though that will have to change in light of the ammo shortages.  I don't see it being a challenge to get well below the $.20 per round mark when reloading the .223.  However, I was given 16 lbs. of Win 748, a barely touched box of 2K 55 gr. FMJBT's, around 700 pieces of LC brass and about 3500 WSR primers, as the previous owner wasn't ever going to use them.  If I reuse the LC brass several times that comes out to +/- 1500 free rounds and some very cheap reloads after that.

If you buy pulldown powder, or powder in greater quantities than 1lb, then your per cost will be less yet.  The real savings comes when you are loading OTM loads or loads with premium bullets.  I can reload much cheaper (20 cents/round) than buying TAP or Black Hills (40-50 cents/round).

I'm shooting South African surplus - I paid $0.11 per round.

And how long will your supply of that last you? How many rounds do you have? Do you have a renewable source?

A little while.    (stack of brown cases in the back)

Do you have a renewable source?

Sure DON'T!

I don't load blasting ammo, simply not worth sitting at a bench for so long for ammo that may be a few cents cheaper on a cost for cost comparision of components but the time itself is often more valuable.

However, match quality or varmint rounds, I can load around 100 rounds of accurate ammo for what it would cost to buy 40 rounds of factory ammo.   And my time is definitely worth it when the typical handload turned out tends to be as accurate if not more accurate than the typical factory "match" ammo.

Surplus WC844/846 powder - .03/charge
Your costing of the case is a wrong. By the time you end up throwing it out, you'll have 5-10 loadings on it. Cost is .005-.01/loading more likely. Plus, by loading your own, you can add just the right amount of cat piss to get the right armoa for your handloads.

Now you're at .10-.11/round.
