New to this AR thing.  Having a blast and I don't even have the rifle yet !

I shoot my AK all day with the nasty laquered Wolf.  No issues.  I've read here that the new poly coated Wold is OK in some/most AR's.  My question is:

Is there an easy way to tell if its poly coated?  I'm going to search the forum some more; I seem to remember someonesaying "grey case = poly and green=laqured".  True ?

Thanks !!!

its cool....almost any new wolf you find for sale is gonna be the poly, its been around for a while now.  Sportsmans guide has it probably the cheapest, if your a member and have a coupon code

If your looking at acasing, The poly Wolf ammo has  a gray case, the older Laquer was green in color

Yes, the gray-green test should work fine.
