I came upon this picture on the ammo-oracle

I have had good results with the 77 SMKs in my 1/9 twist bushmaster and I have noticed that the 87 grain PRL is a little bit shorter than the 77 SMK, what are the chances that this would work in my gun, and what are the terminal ballistics. Also, where could I find them

all replies are appreciated

Powell River Labs was bought out by Sellier & Bellot.  They no longer sell bullets.

Yep. Brou directed me to a former employee who gave that info. There are currently no plans to resurrect the Powell ammo lineup.

If you are interested in picking some up, I came up with a source for a very small quantity of the 87 grain ammo. Be warned, it's VERY expensive. IM me if you want the contact info.

It wasn't super impressive and it was REAL expensive.

So I've heard from the good Doctor. FWIW, it sounds like that the75 grain Hornady TAP is more than adequate for defensive purposes in 95% of the cases out there.

If it's combat accurate out of your gun, then that's what I'd go with. Just MHO...
