I'm thinking of setting up to reload. Mainly for pistols. My .45acps .44mag and 50AE especially, and thinking of setting up for hte AR while I'm at it.

Is there any real savings with reloading these instead of buying in bulk? I normally either go with Wolf or PMC but I'd like to get some Hollow Points or ballistics for a just in case type of deal but I'm not sure yet.

I guess the basic question would be is it worth it to load them? I'm planning on getting one of the electronic powder measurer/dumps with hte built in scale which I'm sure would save some time.

If you like the satisfaction of creating a round that will out group anything you can buy, then yes you should reload. But,it will cost you more in the long run because you will shoot twice as much and enjoy it more knowing that it's your ammo.I load for most pistols,.223 to 8MM magnum rifles and I know for a fact that I can shoot 3 shot 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards with my ammo in everyone of my rifles.I haven't shot a big game animal with anything but my ammo in the last 25 years. Also,if something bad happens you have no one to blame but yourself.I have never had anything bad happen and with care I never will.

Snaps,

You've been here long enough to know better than to have posted before reading the tacked threads at the top of the forum.
