I bought a case of the new wolf ammo after hearing that it was an improvment over the old stuff. I did some shooting the other day and after 100 rounds or so I had a failure to extract. I ended up having to use a cleaning rod and a hammer to extract the round. The case had black spots all over it, not sure if they were there when I loaded the round or not. I was doing a fair bit of rapid fire, perhaps the poly coating melted?

In any event, I just wanted to let you know. It was probably just a fluke as most people have had good luck with this ammo. I'm going to approach it cautiously though from now on.

I purchased some "new" Wolf ammo at the Columbus fun show last week.  While showing my 10 year old son how to load the stripper clips (kids are great little workers) I saw a couple rounds that were cracked on the bottom and chips were missing around the primer.  The result if fired would probably been what you described.  I shot 400-500 rounds that day without any problems.
