I've checked Ammoman and Wholesale hunter on the Industry board and they don't have it listed. Any idea where I could find some? I'm not set up to reload rifle (only pistol), therefore I need complete cartridges. Thanks! |

The Federal Tactical are marketed as 'LEO Only' rounds so the usual ammo sources may not have them. You could check local police shops. Or... The 62gr Federal Tactical is a repackaged 62gr Trophy Bonded Bear Claw which is a Federal hunting load. Just ask your standard sources for the 62gr Bonded Bear Claw round in .223 - they should have that in their catalog. |

Actually, the 62gr TBBC is not available in a civilian load, and is not available as a reloading component. The only way I know of to get them is from Fed Tactical, and as Forest stated, these are marketed and distributed exclusively to government and police departments. Federal won't even ship them to ammo distributers, but instead drop-ships directly to departments. The 55gr loads ARE available as hunting loads, though. -Troy |
