i always see threads on the net about when somebody gets ripped off or is just totally unhappy with the company. I'm going to do do the opposite here. I ordered some ammo for the ol' AR the other day. Real easy to order from.. My Credit Card didn't go through so I got a call about 15min after I had ordered. Turns out she put in my EXP. Date in wrong. Fixed real easily. Had 1000rds the next day, and a free T-Shirt Anyway, just thought I'd suggest them as a good company out there. |

They go to the Wannemacher gun show in Tulsa every April and October. They get swamped pretty bad, which I get because they generally have good prices on ammo. I had a bit of a problem with them last October, though. Walked up to the table, checked prices and they had a good price on what I wanted ($167.50/1280 rounds on SA 7.62x51). So I waited for the guy to finish helping some people he was working with, cause they were there first, and he turns to me and says "What can I get for you?". Cool, so I tell him what I want and he says, "OK, let me take care of this guy here" and points to the dude standing next to me. Fine, that guy was there first, I can handle that. So he takes care of that guy while I wait patiently, then WALKS OFF to help some people that JUST WALKED UP to the table. So I think, well, they are busy, maybe he forgot. Dude walks past me and looks right at me 3 friggin times. So I said "Screw 'em" (out loud), went down to the lower level, found a guy selling the same stuff for $5 more per case that was quite attentive, started attending to me right off the bat and stuck with until I had what I wanted. Folks, I'll never buy from Ammunitionstore.com ever again. A little service goes a long way. |

Bob Custer is the owner of ammunitionstore.com. If you were at the Tulsa show last October then you got him waiting on you. Usually it is several of his retail employees that do the show but in October it was him and one female employee. He is always running like a chicken with his head cut off and he is not the best at the retail one on one stuff. Since he owns the place his expertise is in negotiating better deals on ammo to pass on to the customer. If he skipped over you, you should have told him about it and I guarantee he would have jumped through hoops for you. I got to know him since I bought a class 3 item that originally he brokered and there were some problems on the seller’s end that Bob helped me straighten out. Every time I dealt with him he goes above and beyond to get me squared away. I also have bought over 20k of ammo from him in the last 3 years. He is a solid, honest, hard working, Christian man. I buy all my ammo from him. You don't find a better guy than that. Bob is good people. Govt Carbine |
