What weight bullets can I shoot in my 1:9 20"?

I want to keep some ammo around the house for just incase and was wondering if I would be better served by some super duper softpoints in a heavier bullet or if I should just stick with my Q3131A.

Welcome aboard.

You'll want to read the Ammo Oracle.

Short answer, stick with the Q3131A.

I get about 1-moa with Q3131A from both of my 16" 1x9 barrels.

If you are interested, 69 grain SMK is a good bullet for target and defensive use.  It will totally blow away standard M193 type ammo for accuracy, and according to Gel tests, it does a number on living tissue as well.

Either buy it loaded from Federal or Black Hills, or load it yourself.

Anything much heavier than 69 grains is a bit of a risk.  Some 1:9 guns have reported good accuracy from 77 grain OTM bullets, but many others, (myself included) can't get 75 grain Hornady HPBT bullets to shoot at all in my 20" Bushmaster.  Try a few before investing in a lot of ammo.
