I have a friend who wants to get a FN49 which is in 7mm. He asked me if I could find a source for ammo. Beats me, any of you know of one? He is into semi auto military rifles. John

There are several sources. Are you sure this a 7mmx57mm mauser round or is it one of the other calibers?

I just talked to him and he said that it is:

FN 49 in 7mm Venezulian Contract rifle

so I guess it is 7mm mauser round

Samco global has some made by FN, I got some a few years ago and it is excellent, accurate, non-corrosive, made in the 70s, for about 20 cents a round.
