I know this has been a topic of discussion before, however I am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to get single battle packs of SA Surplus, below the 45 dollar price at cheaper than dirt. Thanks.

My friend and I got a good deal at a local gun show today.  We bought 20 of the 300-rd battle packs for $37, tax free.  6000 rounds for $740.  I was pretty happy with that price, especially since people are saying the supplies are starting to run low.

Has anyone else heard of supplies running low?

I know that nothing lasts forever, but it sounds like a typical gunshow line.  Anyone else heard of this?

I've been hearing of SA and Q3131A running low, but I think it is a price raising ploy.

No, it was in Ohio.  Sorry.  I think Aim Surplus still has them in stock for delivery though.

It may be just the shows I've been going to lately, but I have noticed a trend of less and less SA 223.  Plenty of SA 308 running around, but the last two shows had none and one dealer selling SA 223, respectively.

The SA is surplus ammo and there is a finite supply.  It'll run out sooner or later, but I think there's still plenty of it in the channel.

The Q3131A, on the other hand, is new ammo currently in production and Winchester has not announced any supply problems so availablility shouldn't be a problem.  Something else to keep in mind, though, is with the popularity of the Military Spec 5.56mm and with Lake City not being allowed to sell ammo to civilians, the price may go up slightly.
