I have a box of 50 .357 AP rounds. How much do you think they are worth? They were made by Winchester and say ".357 Magnum Metal Piercing 158gr" They have a pointed steel (jacketed) bullet.

I have no idea what a fair price would be. But they would be neat to have for a cartidge collection.

Can you post a pic of the box & bullets. I'd love to see it.

Don't have a digital cam yet, but I will post some pics when I can scan them in.

Be careful misnaming that stuff as "AP". It was never intended to defeat armor, as the old  .30M2AP was.

That stuff you have was intended as a load for cycle officers, and highway patrolmen for use against the heavier and more rounded auto bodies of the day..Thus the "Metal Piercing"..

There IS .357Mag "AP" ammo out there..The French "SFM" brand made a load called "THV".

It is currently illegal to import, and sell handgun ammo which is considered "Armor Piercing"..

What you have is "Metal Piercing" ammo. Not "Armor Piercing".
