In looking at all of the info here, it appears the ejector is part of the Mean mag insert system and is plastic. How are the ejectors holding up after a few hundred rounds? Signs of wear?

Remember that Endomags made for CMMG Guard series don't have the ejector tab and order accordingly.

Finally got mine in the mail. Put it together and it looks like with 1 round left in the mag it still actuates the bolt hold open paddle. Going to test it once I get home.

Good to see this posted here, I saw the vid on Facebook and was wondering. I'm planning a pistol build for a hatchback gun and couldn't decide upon 9mm or 300blk

My next question is if a Guntec 9mm upper will work on a regular ar15 lower...
View Quote
I have a Guntec 9mm upper (4.5in with the fake suppressor) on a generic hometown lower.
Fit is good, bolt cycles, BHO works with a gen 2 mag, mil spec hammer works and function check is fine.
Waiting on the endomags for firing.

I haven't gotten ship notification of my preorder yet and I ordered August 27.  I hope I don't have to wait too much longer I am ready to get out there and try them.

Is there a source for "9MM" magazine rubber bands? I don't like the stickers.

I've been looking myself.  I use the Faxon bands for 300 Blackout and 5.56.  They don't have 9mm, but they do have 7.62.  I was thinking about buying some of those and using them inside out.

So, not being a smart ass or anyhting......but why not just take a quick look at the top of the mags to tell what they are?

Sure I could do that with any mag. I'm just looking for a way to make them stand out in a pile of pmags.

I ordered 3 in July and 3 in September. All six came in yesterday - the look good so far but have yet to mount them and try them.
By the way, they can go in a P-Mag (not ProMag) Gen 2 or Gen 3 - what is the difference in the Gen?

M3: Dust covers are different and M3 comes with one, over-insertion tab, different floor plate (require different ranger plate), marking dot matrix area, built with a stronger polymer.

Why would we do that when we could spend money on a neat colorful rubber band?
Bands
Anyways the M3 Pmags have a grid area for marking so I use an extra fine point gold oil based sharpie.  Makes the mags easy to identify when I have a mix in my mag bag, especially with the dust covers
on.

When I buy celery it comes with blue rubber bands that size.  If all you're worried about is keeping two types of PMags distinct, you would only need to put some sort of rubber band on one type, like "no band is 5.56, but orange rubber band means 9mm MEAN magazines."

Once I get the Endomags I will have 3 different calibers all in PMAG M3's.   Technology has certainly simplified things of late.

P-mag, not promag, big difference. :)
One of the Gen3 changes is an over insertion lug on the back of the magazine. There are some non-AR's that can't take the mag with this stop, like my Beretta ARX100, so my idea was to just use gen3's for my 9mms, maybe even get tan, then use gen 2's for 223.

At this point though, not even sure I'll use the 3pack, think I'll do my 45 first, so they're just going in the big box of parts.

I suppose we are all cursed/blessed with big boxes of spare parts.  I think I have more holster parts than anything else from trying so many out.

I'm probably doing it wrong, but I just mask off a stripe near the bottom of the mag and hit them with different colored spray paint.

I use red for 5.56 war loads and different colors for other stuff. I'll probably use neon green for these, since it will be exclusively for range practice.

A shout out for MEAN's customer service. I sent an email explaining the issue with the one mag before I hopped in the shower. Before I got out I had a voicemail from Tom at MEAN Arms. Gonna get some pics to them and try another endomag in the magpul magazine body to see if it's possible that the magpul body is rolled.. Great customer service!

Quoting myself for update:
Replacement EndoMag arrived in a week and has functioned flawlessy so far through 30 rounds. Will put more through it tomorrow. So far around 250 rounds through each of the original two EndoMags without any problems.

From posts here:

Ordered on 7-12, notice of shipment on Oct 2
Ordered on 7-23, notice of shipment on Oct 13

11 days apart, delay of 3 weeks.  If the shipping schedule is set orders from early August should be going out. Then a week and half later orders from late August.  Unless they speed things up on preorder shipments I won't see mine (ordered August 27) until middle of November.

I was out again today.  I shot a total of around 250 rounds.

I shot 124 grain JHPs, 124 cast round nose, 124 cast truncated and 95 grain cast flat points.

All shot 100%.

I never loaded more than 29...typically between 25-29.

Even ran perfect with my binary trigger.

I am using M3 Pmags.

Now I just need my other 2 that were ordered in a second order.

Time to sell my glock block

I assume it has the bent wire piece that is activated by the glock mag follower.

I would remove the wire and try....bet it works.

Yea, I'll have to remove it. Wasn't really wanting to, but I'm pretty sure that's the cure. It never crossed my mind that it would interfere with the mags.

I'm a 9mm AR virgin and am still learning about them.

Will this Midway upper work with the MEAN adapters?  I'm wanting to get in to the 9mm game just to play and shoot a little USPSA PCC.  If there's a better unit then I'm also open to options.  How about the PSA uppers?

Mods, if this isn't appropriate to ask in this particular thread please delete it rather than locking the thread.

Thanks for any info.

The only things I can think of is that the blow back system is cheaper and is made by several manufacturers.
