I've been wanting a 9mm AR for a while, but i have a few hurdles living in the state i do.  I can't just go buy a stripped lower like most of you, I'd have to buy a preban and that is about a 1000% markup.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has had luck building a Polymer lower for 9mm.  Specially glock.

Why not build an aluminium 80%?

This one is cheaper.

Certainly a possible choice.

Which polymer 80% lower are you thinking of?   And a quick Google search on broken polymer ar lowers should be enough to dissuade anyone when aluminum lowers are priced low.

If you're still considering polymer, have you looked at these?

http://www.tnarmsco.com/tac-9-stripped-receiver-glock-mag-compatible-pre-order/

They've supposedly addressed the main weak points with brass inserts, although I haven't read whether they did anything for the spot prone to cracking behind the rear takedown pin.
