Just emailed about which style upper (glock or colt) would be best as a starting point. NFA has the C-5 MP5 9mm lowers out

View Quote Pretty sure my FM upper is slightly out of spec because even with the bolt out of the upper it will not lock down on most of my pistol lowers. Just the one Anderson with the Stern adapter and on one of my two PSA Glock specific lowers. FM has offered to replace the upper or refund my money but I'm going to run it for now and see how she goes. |

We offered to refund your $ or replace the upper, great to hear, sounds like we earned our reputation.
May I ask if you tried lowering the magwell adapter down, as it is shown in the video? Sounds like it works then? We have only ever had to refund one persons money back btw. Couldn't tell you how many uppers we have on the market, but its several thousand. As far as its fitment to other PCC lowers, sadly FM will not produce a BCG with a slot far enough rearward to accommodate the ejector on many pistol lowers. It forces us to make a BCG with an ejector slot that is so far rearward, it creates a thin cross section of material near the large diameter firing pin hole, and we refuse to put a product like that on the market. (shown below)... thin cross section in 9mm BCG We have been successful helping consumers occasionaly remove some material from the rear of the ejector, and getting virtually every lower to run with our upper. Glad its working for you... |

We were the title sponsor at the 3 Gun Nationals this year. We ran a demo stage, with 2 guns, that were run over 3 days. Over 12,000 rounds were shot on those rifles, and we had 0 malfunctions...running only Tula steel cased ammo. That was well documented, best of all the 2 rifles we ran, were our original 2 demo rifles. 1 had over 10k rounds, the other over 7k rounds.
Go to 46:30 and see for yourself what Keith Garcia at the 3 Gun Nationals had to say... 3 Gun Nationals feedback on our product... |

Rifle Gear in Plano, TX, has had them for several months. They look great but I don't know anything about them.
ETA - sorry, when I posted I didn't realize this was already a 6 page thread with a lot of info in it. |

Quoted: NOT TRUE!!! At least in my case. I have an FM upper that hits the feedramp portion on the Stern Defense adapter in most of my lowers. With the bolt installed you can't even install the rear pin as there is too much pressure against the feedramp on the adapter. I did find an Anderson lower that allowed the adapter to work with the FM upper but the bolt was still rubbing against the adapter feedramp. I took enough off the feed ramp so it no longer rubs and it seems to work fine but only in the one lower when using the Stern adapter. Pretty sure my FM upper is slightly out of spec because even with the bolt out of the upper it will not lock down on most of my pistol lowers. Just the one Anderson with the Stern adapter and on one of my two PSA Glock specific lowers. Good to know, thanks. I was actually looking at the CMMG pins the other day and was wondering if they would work.

Okay everyone, I ended up emailing FM and conversed with Paul a bit (very responsive CS by the way.. weekend hours at that!) Something is up with their account here so that is why the lack of response apparently. Passing on info he told me: Billet lowers going to Primary Arms and will be available this coming week. Colt bolt assemblies are shipping to Brownells on Monday so those should be available shortly as well. Any other questions hot up their contact info on their website. View Quote |

Have the billet lower in now.. I'm super impressed with the quality of this thing WOW. The LRBHO is pretty slick.
Everything is overbuilt, mag release, bolt stop etc. So far my 8.5" build without a pistol brace and with a standard carbine buffer is at 5.6 lbs. So right around 6 lbs total I'd say. |

They were sent, same as the Colt Uppers, its like Amazon there, takes a while to make it out of the warehouse, then to marketing for pics, then they go live. Suspect maybe a week, will ping them tomorrow and advise.

Primary has some product with flash suppressors, they are moving to only getting uppers with muzzle devices.

They (PA) have a killer deal on some around $310 right now, wont last sadly...

I got one of the 16 inch uppers for 350 from primary arms and mated it with a psa lower. Fit and Finish is awesome and I got 50 flawless rounds through it so far.

Steer clear of White Box, keep it oiled until its broken in. I personally like Tula and Wolf myself.

Lots of people using 125 and +p, no issues. No blowback pcc likes defensive rounds, but we have had decent luck with those too.
