Need some help guys and gals.

Looking to build a pistol caliber AR, either 9mm or 45ACP. Who are the major manufactures for dedicated lowers ?

Looking to pick one up and file a form 1 before the dead line.

Thanks for the help, and I'm sure there will be more questions to come as the build progresses.

you might start with
Quarter Circle 10
New Frontier Armory ( I went with a Glock NFA for my 16" carbine)
Rock River Arms
Palmetto State Armory

Black Creek Precision has 9mm lowers.

I think NFA makes a lot of the lowers that end up rebranded. I know the spartan lower Joe Bob sells is an NFA lower. I've seen a list somewhere but they're quality. Also angstadt but they sell as a upper/lower set. Very nice looking though and local to me. If I had to start over I'd have got one of theirs.

Big question is which magazine do you plan on using? Colt mags or glock?

Also Rudy/Mad-Machinist from Macon Armory is the .45 man. He has a DI 45 upper that's very cool!

I just bought a Quartercircle 10 colt style lower.  Seems like it's one of the nicest dedicated 9mm lowers that money can buy.
I don't own a Glock and the Glock mag lowers didn't really appeal to me as much so I went with colt style.
I plan on filing form 1 and making this into a 9mm sbr.
Lots of options for parts.  I need to learn as much as I can to make this thing run reliably.

I bit into the wallet and bought the Angstadt set.(I believe they sell them separately also). Yes it was a little more but I couldn't be happier. Havent had any problems other than my trigger which I bought used from someones take out. Very nice machine work, everything lines up and haven't had to monkey with it. Running ETS magazines with no problems.

For 45 go with either a standard lower or one of the grease gun mag dedicated......CNC Guns or Bazooka brothers......I have got the standard lower 45 covered....., The Grease gun lowers will run DI only.....no provision for blowback.....and the Blowback will run on the QC10.....Blowback also comes with a heavy extended buffer ......DI runs on a standard carbine spring and buffer...
DI 45 8 inch

If I go 9 I think I'll go Colt. A buddy that's ahead of me on a build said he went Colt, because he heard of a few more issues with Glock. Plus I don't have anything Glock, so that will keep me from wanting something else.
