Hello everybody,
So I received some parts for my 9mm build today and found out that the Vltor MUR does not fit my DDLES colt pattern lower (walls were too thick). I dont want to break out the dremel so I'm wondering what 9mm upper would be compatable with that lower and a CMMG bolt. I'm sold on the dedicated 9mm upper look with gas deflector (i'm a lefty) and I was thinking about ordering a RRA flattop style 9mm upper. I've read that RRA parts are not "mil spec" and I am concerned about the fit to the lower and bolt. Please let me know your thoughts and my options and thanks in advance for the replies. Parts list: -DDLES colt lower -PSA LPK -Giessle SSA -Slash 9qt buffer -TROS 5" bbl (on the way...hopefully) -CMMG 9mm bolt -Troy Alpha Rail -Octane 45hd w/ 3lug mount |

| I have a Rock River Arms 9mm upper on my build and it works great. Fits my DDLES lower perfectly, nice and tight. Color matched to. My upper build includes a Colt bolt, Colt barrel, Rock River Arms 9mm upper, and a Noveske NSR rail. Mad Machinist ramped the bolt for me so I could used a Giessele G2S trigger. |
| ok, i have an update. i was able to put the upper on the the lower with a bit of pressure (its tight on the feed ramp). the mags fit but they do not drop free, which isnt a huge deal because i strip them for reloads. i think im going to run it as it is and see how it works. thanks alot for the replies everybody. |
