While I've assembled several ARs, this will be my first 9mm build.  I have decided to go down the Glock magazine path and have ordered a New Freedom Arms built lower from Primary Arms, along with a NFA 9mm bcg and barrel.  My question is this:  do I have to use a NFA upper receiver in order for the LRBHO to work?  No one seems to have the NFA upper in stock and I would prefer to go ahead and use a generic upper to finish my build.  It seems to me that LRBHO is a function of the lower and the bcg, both of which will be from NFA in my build.  However, I thought I would check with the experts here and solicit your input.  Thanks in advance.

The NFA lower does not have LRBHO. You would have to use their upper with that option. Unfortunately they are brand new and currently on back order. New Frontier has gotten a bunch out there but are back logged again. According to their info, they should be pretty close to being caught up sometime in Feb which is not that far off.
I went with the Matrix side charging upper and sacrificed the LRBHO. Well worth it in my opinion. They are found on Joe Bob Outfitters along with the NFA lowers with cool spartan helmet engraving on the side.
