What exactly does this kit do?

I am building a dedicated .22lr rifle and am just about finished with it and though I would ask before I take it to the range and get blasted in the face with gasses.. |

So if not shooting suppressed it does little to nothing? From personal experience with a a few 16" suppressed dedicated 22LR and 5“ 9mm AR, IMHO... Yes to the point that it bothers me. On my builds I typically use a slick side or plug the fwd assist and RTV the changing handle to further mitigate the gas....again.. IMHO.. maybe I'm too much of a puss and should take up smoking to build up my tolerance. |
