What's the best conversion today for converting to shoot .22 in my AR and M16? Want to use it in semi auto and full auto? Looked at CMMG but figured I'd get some more suggestions here before I jumped.

Thanks

TACCOM3G (not to be confused with Tac-com 3mr) and CMMG seem to be the ones.

I have an old Spike's that I love, but they are not making them anymore.

I personally would go with Tim at TACCOM3G. He's an awesome guy, and makes excellent products.

ETA: Well, you might want to call Tim. I'm not sure he does a conversion unit, it looks like his bolt assembly is setup for dedicated uppers. In that case, CMMG might be the ticket.

Seems like many of the people in the rimfire section really dig Taccom and I can appreciate many of their products as well.  As for me I wanted to use the Bonnie Packer Better Mag Adapter and didn't feel like filing down the adapter so I went with a CMMG bolt kit and a Taccom reliability kit(extractor, spring, firing pin) and I haven't looked back.  The thing runs like a champ and Gander Mountain just so happened to be having a deal on 1600 rounds of .22 lr today so I think my weekend is gonna be fun!!!!

I prefer TACCOM but he doesn't sell conversion bolts. Just bcg's for dedicated uppers.
I suggest finding an older CMMG stainless conversion. Much better than the brass fitted ones. in my opinion.

If you are looking for a dedicated .22 upper or barrel and bcg, I definitely recommend TACCOM.

I can't comment on the Tacom because we can't get them her. I just bought and installed a CMMG kit for my Bushmaster, oiled it, fitted it and shot a 1.5" 30 yard 10 shot group with Winchester subsonics just leaning over the bonnet of my ute. I then fired 3 x 50 round packets without a single malfuction. Could the Tacom be much better than that? I don't know but I'm sure happy.

Nothing wrong with CMMG so long as you get one that works without issue.
Older models are better than the new ones. IMO

The Taccom has the reliability kit installed, which can fix some of the issues of other make BCG's.
