We'll finally got all parts to put my 9mm together I have built about 10 uppers but I can't get this fortis rev hand guard to work. It is touching the pivot pin ears. I am at a loss I torqued the nut to 45lbs and put the rev on and I couldn't get it to pin up. Took the rev off and it goes right on. Got ant ideas? I hate to sand the rev down. But hey the gun function checks out all good. Hope to shoot it Thursday

Just a guess here since you didnt take pictures, When you torgued the barrel nut did you go ahead and line up one of the teeth as if you were going to use a gas tube?
I realize you don't need one on the 9mm, but most handguards still use it to align themselves with.

Got it. Had a couple utg shims left over from another build and I used 2 of them. Moved the barrel nut out enough to clear the the front of the lower.

could be the lower itself, I had one that had slightly larger ears that rubbed on a Troy rail
